The King of Mekong

"Das Leben ist zu kostbar, um es dem Schicksal zu überlassen"

I am packing light and will travel with my Osprey Farpoint 40l backpack.

For shoes I am bringing a pair of trainers (Inov-8 Trailroc 245) and comfortable flip-flops (Salomon)

In a medium deuter packing cube I carry a dry bag (Sea&Summit), three pair of socks (2 Smartwool PhD Outdoor Ultra Light Micro and 1 Smartwool Phd Mountaineering), one sleeping liner (Cocoon), one pareo for laying on the beach and one rain jacket (Inov-8 Race Elite Storm Shell)

I bring my camera (Sony Nex-5) in a neoprene bag (Mega Gear) and tripod (Cullman Magnesit), as well as an elastic belt (Haglöfs Snake belt), which all go directly into the main compartment.

In a small wash bag (deuter wash bag tour 2) I pack one travel adapter(GGI Worldwide), phone and camera charger, one spare camera battery, a powerbank and laptop cable.

I pack a toiletry bag (deuter wash bag tour 3), which holds toothbrush and concentrated toothpaste (ajona 25ml), shampoo (75ml), shaving foam (75ml), shaver, deodorant, moskito spray (Autan), a nail clip, plasters and pills (10 Ibuprofen, 25 Aspirin, 10 Buskopan, 10 Loperamid)

The clothes I pack, I divide in a small and large packing cube (deuter packing cube S,L). The large cube holds two T-shirts (odlo cubic light and nike dryfit), one longsleeve (nike dryfit), three polo shirts (nike dryfit, adidas), one tank top, one 3/4 shorts (Peak Performance 3xdry), one pair of light hiking pants (Haglöfs Shale), one shorts (Mammut) and one bermuda shorts (Rip Curl), and one hoodie (Peak Performance).

In the small packing cube I place my underwear, six pairs of briefs (odlo cubic light).

The heavy items like toiletry bag, shoes, camera and electronics go in the bottom….

….and the two clothes cubes go on top.

In the front compartment, I will store a tablet for reading and surfing the net on the road, a 14″ laptop with sleeve, a foldable waterproof daypack (Sea2Summit), my travel pillow, mobile phone with sleeve and a waterproof document bag (Aloksak 4×7).

This holds a pen, vaccination certificate, passport, passport copy, passport pictures, a spare credit card, visa documents, and some spare money.

The backpack has a small front pocket, which holds sunglasses that I buy there, one pack of tishues, another pen, ear phones and a small travel towl (Seatosummit) that I place in the mesh pocket when wet.
